Anthouse Acri Triplex 15x10

The Triplex is a versatile nest, because it can be used horizontally, vertically (using the removable foot) or on the wall (using the attached kit). It is suitable for all types of colonies and sizes. It includes a humidity system, two 8mm connection holes to connect it to a foraging box (not included) or to another nest and 1cm high galleries. Easy to clean due to its anchors with removable screws.

ASSEMBLING: Used in VERTICAL you only need to use the foot available in the package. Although the foot is not fixed to the nest, it keeps perfectly its vertical stability. For WALL installation it is necessary to replace the original two top screws by two screws that you can find in the pouch. The new screws are longer and let you add the two attached supplements to hang the nest. Some parts like the foot or the wall anchors have the original protective blue plastic that can easily be removed by scraping with nails.

To moisten the nest we will use a syringe with water and wet the green foam in a way that it does not absorb more water but allowing the water to spread out by the plastic folds of the nest. You must be careful to avoid flooding the galleries. The green foam must always be wet.

CAUTION: Don't clean with alcohol or another product but soapy water. The acrylic material could get broken. Don't even use talcohol (talcum powder dissolved in alcohol). If still used, it will be under the responsibility of the customer.

Maintenance of the ant nest is under responsibility of the customer. The wear and tear of the materials is not covered by warranty.

CARE: It is especially important to be careful with excessive material expansion, given by sudden temperature changes, especially in summer. Therefore, do not add very cold water to the humidity system. You must keep the nest at a stable temperature, not only for the good of the nest but also for the good of the species housed in it.

For this nest, a foraging box and an 8mm outside diameter connection tube are required. There are two connection holes available. If you only use one, you must plug the second hole with cotton to prevent escapes of the ants. This cotton should never be moistened to avoid mold or becomes weak and can be an escape for the ants.
