Trichorhina tomentosa, commonly known as the dwarf white isopod, is a species of terrestrial scale insect (isopod) that has become increasingly popular in bioactive terrariums. Here are some common uses:
Cleaning Equipment: Trichorhina tomentosa are detritivores, meaning they feed on decaying organic matter. This makes them a valuable component of our ant nests, where they help break down organic waste, such as leftover food.
Food Source: Dwarf white isopods can also serve as a live food source for our ants.
