QBIK AIR lids are the ideal solution to ventilation problems of the past. Thanks to their continuous and adjustable ventilation system, the stress caused by pressure changes when opening the foraging area is eliminated. In addition, they keep the environment ventilated, avoiding the accumulation of bad odours.

They incorporate special small lids to safely feed climbing and aggressive species, without having to disturb them.

Their greatest advantage is the significant reduction in condensation generated by waste, which drastically reduces the risk of mite infestations associated with humidity.

Proper maintenance of the QBIK is essential to ensure its durability and optimal operation. To do so, you must take into account the following recommendations:

  • Avoid direct sunlight: Both the methacrylate and the PLA of the QBIK should not be exposed to direct sunlight, as the material can absorb heat and deform. This can compromise the tightness and cause leaks.

  • Do not place the QBIK under direct air conditioning: Sudden changes in temperature can negatively affect the material, damaging it over time.

  • Proper cleaning: Avoid using hot water, as it can deform the material. Do not use alcohol or abrasive cleaning products either. The best option for your anthill and your ants is to clean with warm water and cotton.

  • Humidity control: High levels of humidity within the foraging area can deform the methacrylate over time. If you have a species that requires a very humid environment, we recommend purchasing a Qbik AIR lid to avoid possible inconveniences.
