It is a professional ants nest that guarantees good condition and survival of ants. Perfect for educational environments, schools, workshops and for parents who see this gift as anything more than a whim or something decorative.

Includes a free Messor barbarus colony with queen, workers, etc..  for you to have a complete ants nest. 

You will receive the ants inside a test tube with food and water for two weeks. They were born inside the test tube and they are well there.

WARNING: Remove the plastic protector before use.

This Kit contains a colony of ants, usually of the Messor barbarus species. If you add another species to your order, different from the previous one, we will understand that you prefer the one you have selected, since we only send one colony per order or anthill. Never two, or three, etc.

15x15x1,3cms Acrylic nest perfect for medium sized colonies. It includes a built-in foraging box with lid and humidity system at both sides.

Easy to clean due to its anchors with screws.

To moisten the nest we will use a syringe with water and wet the green foam in a way that it does not absorb more water but allowing the water to spread out by the plastic folds of the nest. You must be careful to avoid flooding the galleries. The green foam must always be wet.

To feed the ants, use the foraging box. You can put there a trough and a water trough. You can use any anti-escape system to prevent escapes.

Put the ants inside the nest through the foraging area. Pour out  the content of the test tube directly into the foraging zone, always being extremely careful.

The nest has a hole used to connect another nest or an auxiliary foraging box. Remember to block it with cotton.

Suitable for all types of species and sizes, as long as they are not exceptionally big nor exceptionally small.

CAUTION: Don't clean with alcohol or another product but soapy water. The acrylic material could get broken. Don't even use talcohol (talcum powder dissolved in alcohol). If still used, it will be under the responsibility of the customer.
