About AntHouse

WHO ARE WE?

Specialists in ant farms, ant colonies and myrmecology

A store born from passion, now an international reference.

Our Story

AntHouse.es is an online store born from the ant forum lamarabunta.org, a community of ant enthusiasts that gave rise to this project to help fund its initiatives and growth.

We are a long-established store, founded in November 2008, with all the experience accumulated from its parent platform and more than 15 years online.

Today, Anthouse is a reference in ant farms, ant colonies and myrmecology, bringing this fascinating hobby to beginners, advanced hobbyists and professionals alike.

Anthouse was founded by Roberto Huerta García, from Jerez de la Frontera, whose passion for ants began as a hobby linked to online myrmecology communities.

After the economic crisis of 2007, he decided to transform that knowledge into a business project. What started as a specialized forum quickly evolved into an online store focused on ant farms, ant colonies and breeding materials.

Over time, Anthouse has developed its own product line, optimized breeding systems, design and logistics, and has established itself as a recognized brand within the sector.

Innovation, Quality and Continuous Improvement

Thanks to years of experience, we have optimized key processes such as:

Functional design of ant farms

We develop ant farms designed to faithfully reproduce the natural conditions of each species, combining functionality, safety and ease of observation. Each design is optimized to support healthy colony development, simplify maintenance and provide a comfortable experience for both beginners and advanced users.

Hydration and ventilation systems

We implement carefully designed hydration and ventilation systems to maintain optimal humidity and oxygen levels in each ant farm. This ensures the well-being of the colonies, prevents common issues and creates a stable environment that supports natural growth and behavior.

Safe shipping of live colonies

We ship live colonies using specific protocols that prioritize the safety and well-being of the ants during transport. We use adapted packaging, protection systems and tested methods to ensure each shipment arrives in perfect condition, minimizing stress and risk for the colony.

Specialized customer support

We provide customer service based on technical knowledge and real experience in myrmecology. We support each customer throughout the entire process, answering questions, advising on product selection and helping with colony maintenance, always with a close and personalized approach.
