Aware that technology advances and needs evolve, AntCrilic has redesigned its acrylic ant farms to meet the most demanding expectations. Both the galleries and the humidity system have been perfected, integrating the latest innovations in the sector.

The new humidity system radically changes the use of these anthills, giving them much more autonomy thanks to a 10 ml glass tank that allows maintenance to be spaced out. The result is a product that maintains the classic essence of acrylic, but with a touch of modernity and quality.

With AntCrilic, ants will enjoy a comfortable and cutting-edge home, ideal for developing their colonies and building large empires. REVOLVING DOOR SYSTEM

Adequate space is crucial for the well-being of colonies. Too much space can cause stress and negatively affect their development. That's why we've incorporated a system of rotating gates that allows the size of the nest to be adjusted as the colony grows. Developed in collaboration with experts, this system ensures that the galleries adapt to the needs of small colonies, allowing for controlled expansion and reducing stress.

ATTENTION, WARNING: Do not open the revolving doors until the first gallery is completely filled with ants. It is very important not to open the revolving doors until there is a good number of ants.

HUMIDITY SYSTEM

One of the most significant improvements to the AntCrilic ant farms is their advanced humidity system, which also functions as a waterer. This system features a refillable glass tube connected to two sponges and rust-proof metal meshes, which ensure a constant supply of water, providing a reliable and safe source of hydration for the ants. Although not suitable for nectar, this system surpasses older humidification methods in functionality and safety.

In addition, our humidity system features an emergency bottom cover to prevent flooding in case you accidentally pour too much water into the sponges.

In addition, both in the gallery area and in foraging, it has vertical microperforations to ensure the correct ventilation of our ants, which greatly improves the health of the colony by having constant oxygen currents.

I'm a beginner and want to get started - are these nests suitable for getting started in the hobby?

Of course! These nests are designed with those who are just starting out in the fascinating world of ant farming in mind. They have been successfully tested with Messor barbarus ants, which are an excellent choice for beginners. In these nests, these ants feel very comfortable and their colony will grow healthily.

What size should I choose to start with?

Both small and larger models are suitable for getting started, as they all feature expansion gates that allow you to adjust the space as your colony grows. The choice of size can also depend on your budget. Generally, it is advisable to start with smaller models as they are more manageable, and move to a larger one when the colony has grown sufficiently.

Can I put any type of ant in the AntCrilic nests?

These nests are suitable for a wide variety of ants, but there are exceptions. They are not recommended for ponerine ants or exotic species that require high humidity. They are also not suitable for desert ants as they may slip on the acrylic surface. However, many of the species common in the hobby will live comfortably thanks to the advanced humidity system of our nests.

How do I clean the AntCrilic nest?

All of our nests can be disassembled for easy cleaning when changing colonies. We recommend avoiding harsh cleaning products and only using warm water and soap. The acrylic material is non-porous, which makes it easy to clean and prevents dirt build-up.

My colony is very large and I need another nest, what should I do?

Thanks to the special couplings included, you can connect the nest to a plastic tube and transfer the colony to a larger nest without any problems. Although our anthills are not modular, this connection makes for a safe and hassle-free move.
