In addition to the Anthouse TERRA 3D ant nest, the kit includes the main accessories and food so you can begin straight away without needing to purchase any additional items.

However, many species can live in this ant nest. If you would like a different species with your kit, we recommend purchasing it separately.

The different galleries include gates that allow you to control access between different areas of the ant nest in a simple and safe way.

Thanks to this system, you can adapt the available space as the colony grows, better manage the use of the galleries and make certain maintenance tasks easier without having to intervene in the entire ant nest.

The upper foraging area provides a comfortable space where you can feed the colony, place water feeders, add natural decoration or carry out routine maintenance tasks.

Its design makes it easy to access the inside of the ant nest, allowing you to work comfortably while minimizing disturbance to the ants.

The internal galleries have been designed to offer excellent visibility inside the nest.

You will be able to easily follow the colony’s development by observing the activity of the queen, workers, brood and food storage, enjoying a privileged view of the ants’ natural behavior.

In addition, the walls have a textured surface so the ants do not slip and can grip and move through the galleries without difficulty.

The galleries remain protected by easily removable red methacrylate covers.

These help keep the inside of the ant nest in darkness during day-to-day use and can be removed whenever you want to observe the colony, take photos or carry out maintenance tasks.

The Anthouse TERRA 3D includes a digital thermo-hygrometer that allows you to check the temperature and humidity of the ant nest at a glance.

Having this information available at all times makes it easier to maintain suitable environmental conditions for the proper development of the colony.

It is made from carefully selected high-quality materials to provide excellent strength and a long service life.

Its combination of machined components and precisely manufactured parts provides a robust, elegant finish designed to accompany the colony for many years.

High-level humidity system

The Anthouse TERRA 3D incorporates a hydration system designed to provide stable humidity where the ants need it most.

Thanks to its design, several galleries have direct access to the humidity area, allowing each colony to naturally choose the most suitable humidity level according to its needs.

In addition to maintaining a stable microclimate inside the ant nest, the ants can also directly access this reserve to drink whenever they need to.

To ensure proper hydration of the colony, it is essential to always keep both the humidity tank and the 1 ml 3D water feeder included in the kit full. This way, if either system dries out or becomes partially blocked by the ants themselves or by nest debris, the colony will still have an alternative water source available.
