They can also be a food source for other animals in the habitat. They also play an important role in mite control since by feeding on decaying organic matter, they...

Bioactive substrate with microfauna is a type of substrate designed to create a balanced and self-sustaining ecosystem in our ant nests. Unlike inert substrates, this type of substrate includes tiny living organisms, known as microfauna, that play crucial roles in nutrient cycling and soil health.

These small and striking springtails, measuring about 4 mm, are more than just an aesthetic addition; they are powerful decomposers that work tirelessly to clean up your ecosystem. They remove decaying organic matter, mold, and debris, contributing to a healthy and balanced environment for your ants and also serving as live food.Key Benefits:Efficient...

8-10cm branches, ideal for small and large foraging areas, of different thicknesses and sizes, large, medium and small.

The biome packs we offer contain all the necessary elements for a highly efficient multi-layer configuration (drainage and oxygenation layer, filtration layer, combined substrate layer and organic layer) to act as a mineral base and life support for the bioactive system.
